snowflake eel pic from jamaica trip and what is THIS?!?!?!

I went to Montego Bay for a week last week for a conference. I was walking along the beach and along the shallows looking for fish and sea critters and saw 2 porcipine puffers (two diff. occasions) about 1 foot each!!! It didnt even swim away when I walked up close. I also found many damsels and other lil guys swimming right by me. Then along the rocks I saw what I thought was a snake then I immediately thought wow an eel!! I had actually saw one the day before but he/she was swimming among the algae and I couldnt get a pic.

Ok now the next bit of business, what the heck is this thing?!!? I found it today extending from the bottom of my LR. It has what appears to be like a feather duster tip at the end of its tentacle. I only see one tentacle. Any ideas?!? This is the only one I can find. I have looked at all the other rocks and havent found anything similar.

Oh and last here are some pics I took of the sunset.

I would look up peanut worm, "Sipunculid". That is what it sort of looks like to me. When you watch it, if it looks like it "swallows" itself when it retracts, it is a peanut worm. Good thing to have.

Great pics of the eel and sunsets.

Hard to tell from the pics, but if it only comes out in the dark, is very smooth, and retracts when you shine a light on it, it is most likely a peanut worm. They are good critters to have in the reef!

you can send them straight out from your email if your carrier lets you, or zip them and send them like that. but if you use dial up the larger the picture the longer to mail.
