Question

snakelock anemone - good or bad ?

Hi, Ive just purchased a snakelock and its happily settled in my tank on a piece of live rock.. a few questions, are they reef safe ? will clowns host in them, and do i need to feed or can they feed off the nutrients in the water.. ??

if i was to feed, can i feed on frozen ( will thaw first ) prawns, the sort bought from iceland , once washed ??and cut up..

thanks

Welcome to TRT! I am not familiar with that anemone, could it be called something else?

I believe that this comes from the waters near the UK. It must be a cold water anemone. If so, and if you have a warm reef tank, that would be a problem.

Stinger!

The Snakelock Anemone is pretty, but a stinger and will capture small fish -
It requires fairly intensive lighting as well...

That's pretty much all I know about them...soz
