Snail Trouble

What is the life span of say, Atsrea snails and Turbos. I seem to need to restock my tanks population every now and then. The Astreas in particular seem to die off. I have no hermits and my water is good(I think). I always seem to be pulling out one croaked snail a week though. I have had stable water for a while no with a touch of nitrate that I compinsate for with aggressive water changes. My phosphate test come up with zilch. I use RO/DI water that I buy. My temp is steady at around 76-78. Is this slow die off normal or do I have a pest?

I don't think the mexican turbos do well in warmer temps. (80-82). I think (?) they prefer cooler water. Perhaps they slowly cook. Just my .01

them falling upside down, is one reason they die....and need to be replinished

i use to have some that could rite them selves but i dont remember what they are called, they lasted forever (over a year).......wish i new what they were called i would get some more
