Small White Particles

I have a 14 Biocube that is three weeks old with 20 pounds of rock and sand. The water parameters are good and has been crystal clear. But I put in a new piece of rock yesterday and now I have white particles floating all through he tank. Some are sticking to the front glass. They don't look alive but are all over the tank. Any ideas on what it could be? By the way I am new the site and have found tons info and lots of help.....Thanks

How small? Are you sure they are not alive and moving? Was the rock "live" Could it just be little bits of organic material breaking off and floating around? Just guesses.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

Agreed with Jenglish, take a closer look. Do they look like they have legs? Could be copepods, which are a good sign.
