Skimming in Hypo

Does Hypo salinity effect the skimmers performance and /or the type of skimmate you can retrieve?...Logic would say yes, but I`m not sure

yes. Think of it this way, skimmers don't work in FW.

if you keep it around 1.019 then you can usually dial it in without a big problem.

i Am actaully hovering around 1.009.I have been there for almost 4 weeks and have a couple more weeks to go. I thought I had a breakout of some sort but I never really pinpointed the disease. I am leaning towards gill flukes or white spot which began in the gills (cause I never saw white spots).....anyway...the skimmate is tough right now..its either nill or too wet....
