Skimmer help pls

Hi guys! So yeah my 1 month old octopus nwb150 skimmer decided to gives me tons of bubble tonight! It has not been producing the amount of skimmate I expected, but I'm not sure if that's bcuz there's not much for it to skim or is it bcuz it's not working right! Pls tell me what could I possibly do to reduce the bubble and make it work better? FYI, I set the water lvl inside the skimmer at where the cone neck transition starts ( octopus customer service told me to do that). Much of thanks in advance guys!

ok, so i dont know what happened but i turned it on the next day and there's no more bubble, so i guess the problem is solved. But here's the picture, and the bubble came out of the tube where the red circle is. Thank you!

Run your water column up higher. Bring it up to about a 1/4 of the way up the riser tube. Let it ride like that for a while then raise it up a little higher. Keep doing that till its as high as you can get it in the riser tube. My water column is up to about half way up the riser tube.
