chances are you wont find polyps like most of these at your lfs very often and if you do or you find them online be prepared for a shock. I buy very few polyps or sps for that matter and only if its been something specifically Ive been looking for with no luck finding as to be perfectly honest I couldnt afford them. I trade with other reefers for most all new additions that go in my tank, or buy them from other reefers over on the RC classifieds board. Its a great resource but buyer beware. Do your homework in the feedback forum if you go this route as there are a ton of fellow hobbyists that will do you right, but there are some bad apples in there. Do your homeowk and its easy to see who the good guys are.
To be sure, that is not saying that gems cant be found in your lfs bins. If you look they can be found for cheap some people tell me. Living in the high desert of central oregon that is never the case for me.
