Sick Tang...Knew the good times wouldn't last!

Hi Guys
The 55G build went well and fish seem to be thriving, including new additions, but my Regal is looking rough. Take a look at these...

What do you think? I cant tell wether she's being beaten up by the other fish or wether there is some kind of infection or parasite. She seems to be scratching on the rock quite a lot but other than that she seems fine. Eating ravenously, swimming in open water as much as ever and not giving the other fish any undue distance. I consulted my LFS who couldnt decide wether these are injuries or infections but has given me some reef-safe medication to prevent/cure any bacterial infection which they said could set in if these are injuries inflicted by the other fish. My concern is that if these marks are inflicted by tank mates, how do I figure out which fish it is - I have watched them tirelessly over that last week and cant see any evidence of any of my fish bullying her. I guess Im hoping it is an infection or parasite and that this medication will clear it up and that be an end to it, but can you guys think of any other possibilities or give and additional advice?
Once again, I lay down my pride and beg for your input to bring back the smile.
Thanks in advance guys.
Rich

Wow! Never saw a Regal look like a Hippo! All kidding a side.I never had anything with my fish,so I'd put him in your HT and try treatting him for some kind of parasite.

Check for stray voltage . Very common in reef tanks .

Stray voltage? Like... electric current in my tank water? Wouldn't that kill everything instantly?

Cause detected!!
Tang has been sleeping wedged behind one of my heaters!!!
Yet another reason to set up a sump with my heaters in eh? Have now put heaters on a timer so that they do not come on at night until I can sort out another solution. Medication is solving the white spot (which had set in due to the stress and wounds I presume) so tang is now looking much better!
Fingers crossed... could be problem solved!

...Or not!
The tank is getting too cold at night without the heaters on so I am now attempting to improv some kind of heater guard using plastic netting and wire coathangers!
SUCH DEEP JOY!
