Sick Plate Coral!

I got a plate coral about a week ago, and it was perfect! Inflated, tentacles out, eating well......
But for the last few days it has alot of mucus, and it doesnt inflate all the way.
Also, i think i can see part of its skeleton coming out! And it has clumps of skinny white stands tangled together in some areas.....Anyone??

I tried loading pics but it has an error saying network is busy after it is almost done

Whatever you do, do not remove it from the tank.

What kind of flow do you have it in? Most of the time they like a gentle flow, just enough to move the tentacles. If there is too strong a flow, it may be tearing the flesh away from the skeleton some. You may try to blow it off with a turkey baster and see if that helps it at all.

The reason I say do not remove it is I have seen many of these corals recover when it looks like there is no hope for it. I currently have a short tentacled green one that was missing a big chunk of its skeleton after a rock fell on it. It looked bad for at least 6 months, but now is actually looking better than ever.

I wish you the best with yours.

Ok, it has a gentle flow on it and it has short tentacle so they dont really move. The skeleton looks like a shark fin poking out in the middle of the side, not like it is coming out form under. Ill post the pics in my gallery. Thank you!
