Sick Clownfish - Update

Good morning all!
The last couple weeks have been crazy and finally I am able to get back on the forum. I got a lot of advise for my sick clownfish (thread: Sick Clownfish - Help Please!) and I've been able to save him
First I tried Greenex which didn't work at all, then i tried a 5 day treatment with Maracyn-Two and CopperSafe and that seemed to do it!
BUT when I finally put him back after 8 days i thought my big female would be glad to have her little friend back but instead of that she chased him all over the tank and by the time I had him out again she ripped most of his fins apart. Wow, was she agressive! She shook him around like a dog playing with a doll!
Now he's back in a separate tank to recover and heal again. I feel really sorry for the little guy. My LFS told me they will take him back once he's healed and I am also thinking about returning the big female and get a small percula clown pair instead.
Well, these last two weeks have been very frustrating. First I had the sick clown and a week later I started getting problems with my ph, alkalinity and calcium which I am still struggling with but I will make another thread for that. Next to that I had really long days at work, also weekends so all my little free time went to the aquarium and the problems are still not fixed
Anyway, thanks to you all for the great help and everything I learned already from this forum!

Alve;

Glad to hear the little guy recovered. Clowns can be quite rough in their "affections" for each other. If they had been paired up before, you might try removing the female from the main tank for a while, giving the little male time to stake out a territory and hiding places, then reintroduce her.

I've found it easier to medicate both fish in a pair to maintain the pair bond. I don't like medicating a healthy fish, but, sometimes they just won't take to each other again after being seperated for a week or more. As Alice suggested, removing the female for a few days and allowing the male time to become re-established might be your best bet to get them together again. good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions Alice and OodleyBoodely! I will try that after the little one recovered.
