If I recall when I had a FO I had this problem. I think it was a type of fungus or bacteria infection. There are meds (most not reef safe) Look here and try to diagnose: http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/fish_diseases/eyes.html

you can do a 4 hr. treatment in a bucket of sw w/ meds and an air stone if she is catchable. Get some pics up when you can so we can see what is going on.

reef safe meds are crap. I have heard that melafix will only irritate corals, but I dont have personal experience w/ it

The fish is probably stressed about something. I had this with my clowns. I separated them from the main tank and let them settle. Fed them garlic mysis. I did use the melafix and that did not seem to bother the corals, also didn't seem to work.

thanks Brian I just went out and bought some melafix. I will give it a shot. I'm also feeding her garlic. How is your fish now? You fell its own immune system took care of it? The only thing I can think that may have stressed her is my sieo (that is right next to her rock) was off for a few days and I didn't realize it.

My fish actually start with the cloudy eye then went to fin rot. Once I put them in a separate tank, they both are doing great. Their colors are stronger than ever.

thanks Brian
theres no way I could catch her even if I had a separate tank. I hope this works I would really hate to lose here. Ive had the pair of them for about a yr now. I'm so crazy I name my fish and become very attached. I really dont know what caused this. I do my water changes every other week and never miss a scheduled wc. I never over feed and I haven't added anything new to the tank.
