if you've got the money on hand, sure, but i've learned not to jump on things I havent put the right time/planning into. it takes some patience, but a lot of the time deals that you feel don't come around very often actually do, so waiting until you're ready (especially if it's not exactly what you want or you're more than 6 months away) is usually not a loss.

If the tank is in good condition yes... If not, nope.

the tank does have some scratches in one corner but not bad from what i have heard ...its glass tho ....i really like the idea on having 120gal in 48" so the size is exactly what i want ....but if i can get the same deal in six months i would rather wait

Well, a tank that size for $200 is pretty common in the used market, and maybe the next one isn't scratched. Not saying this is bad deal, but don't jump on something you're not ready for.

Make sure your ready for it as everyone else said. The tank will usually be the cheapest part of any setup.

Go for it. My wife just bought me the same size tank. I think she paid somewhere between three and four hundred bucks for it. That's for nothing but a glass box.

so heres the breakdown ...
tank $80
plumbing $5
mag12 $55
all for $120
is the mag 12 something that i would need for this tank or might i want something considerably bigger or smaller ? ...should i just get the tank and plumbing or is the mag 12 defiantly something that i will find usefull in my build ? ...or might my skimmer come with a pump?
...sorry the whole sump thing is new to me...lol

To be honest, I would have a hard time passing up that tank for $80. That's actually cheaper than the glass it's made of.
I'd buy it just to tear it apart and make a custom sump out of it.

Is it reef ready or will you have to drill it?

I just bought a 150 for a 100 bucks .
If you don't have the money "Then Wait" If you have that sitting around your gonna want to spend even more money on it .
You need a stand ,lights, skimmer, sump, pumps, rock, sand, soxs, salt etc etc etc

I voted negs...I've been trying to teach myself that if I can't afford it, I don't need it. Granted, I have a long way to go!! I did sound to me like you were trying to talk yourself out of it.
