should I be worried?

Hi,
I was just wondering should I be worried because my small yellow goby keeps sitting on my starfish? Is he likely to eat him?he didn't seem to appreciate the brineshrimp I fed him but has been munching away at the algae so maybe he wont eat my goby? Also my clown fish and humbug keep fighting not to the extent thier hurting each other but I 'am not sure what to do.thanks

What kind of seastar? If it is one of the Asteroides I would not worry about it, however, if it is one of the Ophiuroids, there is a good chance that it may capture fish, especially if it gets hungry enough to lie in wait. Even some spp. of Class Asteroidea are capable of capturing sleeping fishes, much will depend on what particular spp. of sea star you have...

PIX?

If they get hungry enough, they will eat most anything, although they ARE relatively slow.

btw, they will also eat your corals, leaving denuded skeleton behind after consuming the coenenchyme off the skeleton.

I guess it depends on whether you have corals in the tank and/or how much you like the CC star...
