Shipping LS to Canada?

For all you Canadians out there...

Have any of you ever had live sand shipped up from the USA? I really need some sand critters but I can't find any good LS around. Did you have to deal with any hassles as far as customs and stuff? Or was it pretty much straight forward? TIA

Hi there! I had some LS ordered from Canada to come to Montana and had no problems so I am sure it will be fine the other way too! Johnny

Hey SOS I have posed this question before and gotten a wide range of answers. I suppose it depends on the personell on duty at the check point
Considering your location I would try to hook up with a few Puget Sound reefers and get some LS and drive it over rahter than ship and customs hassles

Hey...Where did you order from? If I could order it in Canada then I don't have to worry about this

Hey, this place is based right in my area! I've never heard of them. Have you ever ordered anything else from them? They're cheaper than the lfs I've been going to.

No, never ordered anything else from them as it is expensive to ship to the states! They seemed quite nice and helped me in answering questions on my shipment! Johnny

We will be dealing with the same 'kits' that IPSF deals with very soon. We will also be cultivating live sand and activator kits.

CITES and customs is a major PITA for anyone...we just have a broker to help deal with the BS.

Check us out:
AquariumPros.ca

Good luck!!
