I just moved my 75 gallon reef to a 29 (long story) and it looks great. 4 inch sand bed, and about 60 pounds of live rock. I also got a remorah pro! on there and 300 watts of vho lighting. I was tired of the responsibility of a larger tank, and I was putting forth about 29 gallons worth of effort on a 75 gallon tank. I also needed the extra cash flow from selling the larger tank. So you are not the only crazy one who went from a larger tank to a smaller one, although it did feel a little blasphemous. I never thought I would want to go to a smaller tank, but too much is going on in my life right now (I will be able to explain later!)
Good luck on the 20!!
Hope everyone at thereeftank is ok, or at least pulling through!

demogarr,
Now, I don't feel so weird going from a larger tank to a small tank! The lfs said they will take whatever fish I don't want and give me credit towards fish/corals, so I feel happier. The guy showed me a Fromosa (sp) ligh kit (hood and lights) that has a 130 watts! But, they wanted $199 for it If you don't mind me asking, how much did you sell your larger tank for? I want to sell my 125, but dont know of a good asking price. There wont be an lr in that tank since I'm taking what is in there and putting it in my 20g. The only thing that it will have is the stand, canopy, orgininal light strip w/ bulb, tank, and sand.

Oops! I meant that I need the extra cash. I haven't sold it yet, it goes in the paper this weekend for $450.00 dollars. I just moved it over to the 29 gallon a couple of days ago, I ordered 24 inch bulbs, but there not in yet so I got 4 4 foot vho bulbs rigged up over a 29 gallon tank (30 inches). The big tank just settled down. The lucky person who buys the tank gets 120+ pounds of live sand, a few pieces of live rock with caulerpa, and two pieces of bleached coral, one of them rather LARGE. I also got a light strip for it and a brand new remorah hang on the back skimmer. I am throwing in some powerheads and other aquarium "stuff" that I have built up and want to get rid of. Not to mention that the tank, stand, and hood are under 4 months old (nice looking stand and hood by the way!). I bought the tank because I was moving and switching to a deep sand bed at the same time. I just set up the new tank at the new house and transported everything from my old 75 to the new one! I am selling them both, the other for $300 with stand and hood, I may sell the older one as freshwater or leave it as is(SW) I am not sure what a good price for a 125 is. I don't think I am asking too much for mine, I want to move them fast and give someone a deal at the same time. The price you ask depends on how fast you want to sell it and the condition of the stand, tank, and hood. This probably wasn't much help, sorry.
Good luck selling though
Also if anyone around Little Rock Arkansas is interested in this tank, by all means E-MAIL me.
Haha, I really didn't mean to turn this post into an ad!
