Thank You!
I did like the Derasa very much! I actually got a crocea to replace it because they were all out of derasa's at the time. But this week I am going back to pick up a new derasa. I miss the Derasa very much, but the pain was eased by the fish stores aide.

Nice LFS you got there. Many would just shrug their shoulders.

Good to hear, sounds like the clam addiction has started, I have a few and they are addicting. Fun to watch grow, you will be very pleased with a Derasa, they are fast growers and the colors are usually very nice.

Nyles,
I am curious as to what you fed yours and how often you fed your clams. Right now I have been putting Marine Snow in about twice a week. Any other good foods?

I don't feed my clams anything but good old fashoin quality light. I have, gigas, derasa, and crocea's, about 4-7" in sizes.
I do feed homemade phyto 2 times weekly (neocrosis?) but I will be also adding isocrysis as well in a month or so, to the tank, as of about two months ago. But honesly if your clams are over 3" you should not need to feed them, they will easily be self sustainable with good light.
I just ordered about 6-2" clams of various type, electric crocea's, and maxima ultras. hope I get some good colors. They will need to be feed phyto, if you have clams of that size, DT's will do fine, oyster eggs if you want to get fancy. I will just keep using my homemade stuff.

Ordered from florida-aqua-farms.com and grow in 2 liter bottles. Also there is directions on talkingreef.com
I would recommend making some Isocysis though, Im working on it.
Honestly its really easy just follow directions and your golden... Just don't over feed.
