Seio Controller up and running
I just got my controller and so far I am very happy with it. I have a pulse running every 15 sec and I have seen better PE on my corals so far. Anyone who wants one now should contact www.bioreef.com

do you know if they ship?
Are you seio's alternately like a wave maker would?

Looking at the prices of their -October Special - maxi jets I can't imagine the controller is going to be a good deal from them, especially after shipping. I assume you live near them and were able to get a walk in?

db, have you checked out the RK2 controller? It has a wavemaker & they send the pinpoint pH monitor (when ordered) with it. It's easy to navigate. I know theres other controllers but this is the only one I've seen.

The rumor is that seios break on any wavemaker but their own. The reason the seio controller is safe is because it does not shut the pump off, it only lowers the flow to 30% and back to 100% anywhere from 15 sec to 30 min apart. The on/off kills seios due to clanking of the impeller but I know people who use them fine on other wavemakers, I however am not going to risk it. The pulse effect is creating wave motion in my tank.
Yes I live 5 min away and was able to walk in. The last time I saw their maxi jets they were 30 bucks each so it may be a typo.
Db they do ship, and the seio controller controls 2 pumps at the same time

yeah i love mine, the wave structure is imo much better than the tunzes which just switch up the high flow, the seios lower the flow all around, the calm period of 30% power is more important so food can settle on the polyps rather than blasting left then blasting to the right.
i have a question, what would be optimal for intervals, if i dont want to turn it down every night? would 15 seconds be too much?

Not sure if its better than tunze
I am just have a pulse every 15 sec. Switching it to pulse every 30min is a pain right now because I have the controller on top of my canopy because I can not mount the controller on the wall and have a pump on each end of the tank due to the power cord being too short. My canopy is almost 7' tall and its a pain to fiddle with the controller setting now. I am just going to use an extension cord to complete the distance of the far pump
Bleezy how do you have your pumps? Mine are facing each other from each end of the tank and pulse every 15 sec

also a seio 2500 on the bottom for bottom flow???are all these necessary!!!
