Seio 2600 advice needed

I just put a seio 2600 in my 125 gallon tank, it is 72 x24x18 what is the optimal sweet spot to have this thing, also at what configuration, with the cover or without, please help, 160lbs sand 200 lbs lr, need more flow as my 1250 return pump was not kicking it.Also did I read about someone with a mod configuration thread somewhere around?

I always use mine tunze style without the covers. In my 125 I have a seio 1500 on the back of the left pane, and a 820 on the back of the right pane, I have both focased at the middle of the front glass in the center of the tank, this seems to provide good alternating flow with the powerheads hitting in the centre like that.

How did you set the pump up? the way pictured on the right seems to be the favorite way for most

that mode you get more "punch" out of them. With a long tank like that maybe put the pump on the end opposite from your return line and try and get the flow to meet your return line flow.. when they collide it should create some turbulence. that's a pretty large tank for just one power head tho.. you might need two to get the flow you're after.. not sure tho.. just thinking out loud.

edit: heh.. wiskey got to it before me.

Ya, but you included pictures, that always gets more points. The pic on the right is mounted "tunze" style.

Tiburon, it is setup as on the right, I have currently on the right end glass facing the opposite side of the tank with one of the return lines colliding with the flow, so the best thing would be to put another on the left side in the same position?
