Sea Slug

Well I just started cycling my 30 bowfront on the weekend ..

and since have found a clam, that has dissappeared since so I could not get a pic, some wild Xenia ..

and what appears to be a sea slug, which I have not been able to get a clear pic of yet because of where he is. He seems to have come out once the brown algae started, maybe he is eating it.

My question ..... can sea slugs be bad, or should I leave him be? if indeed that is what he is.

Some sea slugs can be bad, as many can be kind of fragile and when they die they can emit toxins that can potentialy crash a tank.

BUT, if youve got one that survived being shipped with rock and cycled, I assume it is a very hardy type, that most of us have probably never even seen, and is most likely fine just left alone.

Got a pic?

Man....you guys are lucky. When I got my live rock it didn't have any critters on it. The only thing that ever grew on it was lots of algae. Now the rock that my tonga mushrooms came on has all kinds of stuff....feather dusters, some encrusting montipora, a few tiny polyp looking things (that I am watching closely to make sure they aren't aptasia). I wonder why my rock came so devoid of life?
