Hey Everyone,
I just got some bad news to share and possibly get some opinions on what may have happened. I had a
sea hare (Blunt-End) in my 80 gallon RT. Sadly I don't have one anymore. I hadn't seen my sea hare for almost a day, not like it to stay hidden, I tested water params, which showed nitrate had gone to 10!!I searched for considerable time between all the live rock to see if I could spot it. Finally I spotted something which did not look like it belonged in the tank. Anyways, I realised that by the looks of the crabs and the shrimp acting like scavengers my sea hare must be dead. I removed it. However I am still confused as to how it happened. I have plenty of algae in the tank for it to clean, and supplement its diet with seaweed too. Is there something I missed? Do you think my copperband could have done something? I know it picks on my snails sometimes. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Zizi
