sea algae question

I have some cheato in my fuge but would like a few other varieties

my question is I bought some red & green gracilaria and the guy from ORA said it would be fine to mix with cheato...but for some reason I don't feel real good about it...Im thinking of getting some dividers to put in my 60 gallon fuge and splitting it all up...also I got some sea lettus.....I just think the stuff will grow better by itself..

what do you guys think....

here is a few pics...IM WANTING EGGCRATE TO DIVIDE THE STUFF UP...

so what do you do just throw a little in, put it in the clip, or what? Your not worried some wont get eaten and take root in the display?

I put it in a clip....with 5 tangs I have no worry about it growing in the main tank....and Even if it did that would be ok...save me time from having to add it for them to eat...

That's cool. I have always used the seaweed selects stuff. Never thought of using the real deal. Of course for the longest time the foxface wouldn't touch it, then I got the clown tang and now they fight over it. I am gonna have to get another clip for sure!

Gracilaria spp. are fine. you really just need to stay away from Caleurpa as far as holocarpy goes. we do know of at least one confirmed case of Halimeda going holocarpy on someone. Sargassum may also be another good choice. seems a bit hard to keep long term though.
