Saturday Is Hot!
Good Morning, Everybody! 
 That's what the forecast looks like for today. 90's & humid.
Orientation Day at FishGirl's school this morning. She's not excited about it with classes starting *onday. 
Tall Antlers is offering to share his breakfast but the tender, tasty tops are reserved for him.

Boy Dick, he will be something to see come fall. Hope he stays in the protected area, or he will be on someone's wall. Good luck to Fishgirl as she starts her last year of highschool.

Wow, lots of early starters at school. My daughter's school doesn't start back until the end of the month. Good luck to Jacob and Shelby Vinnie. Will Shelby be at home, or is she going away to school? We are forecast to get the rain here today too. Hopefully I can get the grass cut first.
I am about to get off of work. Headed home this morning and then a big retirement party for my Assistant Chief at the FD. He has been a good friend and a staunch supporter of mine and I will miss him. He's also a great guy to work for. SHould be a great party.

Thanks, guys. Tall Boy lives in the national park so as long as he doesn't chase some doe over the mountains, he's safe.

She will be going to School in Baton Rouge, community college for the first two years, so she can decide what she wants to major in and then she can pick LSU or some other school to get her degree

Thanks for the coffee, Butch. I walked to the local bagel shop and got us a variety of bagels and scones. Milk and fresh fruit to fill in the cracks.
Dick and Vinnie - I don't know which is worse: starting school on a Friday or *onday. Either one is too early. But I bet they get out earlier than others across the nation.
Jeff - how's that blueberry crop this year?
Butch - where do you go to the beach?
Tom - enjoy your relaxing time. 60s weather is a beautiful way to start.
Ray - Sounds like a good retirement celebration for you Asst Chief. You're very lucky to have had a boss/mentor all rolled into one.
Vinnie - that's a good plan for Shelby. So often the first couple of years is filled with core subjects anyway.
George - I hope you're feeling better today.

Pretty good Cath.
Picked some 60-70 lbs this morning myself. Was a nice time to do it, Nice temps tho cloudy and a nice breze to keep me cool. Woulda picked more, but work calls in a few hrs
