Good Morning, George, John, & All!
Three H's again here. We missed out on the t-storms yesterday, so no rain again.
Nuthin much going on around here today with FishGirl gone. Maybe the couch and a good book. I talked with her by phone yesterday and she was spending the last night at her Austrian host family's home. Nice people and she really enjoyed them. Today, the group travels to Salzburg with a stop to tour the infamous Mauthausen Nazi Concentration Camp, where they will meet and have conversations with a camp survivor. That should be a profound experience.
The blackberries are ripening and are a feast for the bears. You don't really see the bear at first, just the tall blackberry briars moving, then a head pops up like a periscope! Your computer 'Pop Up Blocker' won't work on these. Anybody want to go berry pickin'?
Have a Berry Good Saturday, Everybody!

Good Morning George, John, Dick and Everyone.
Just some well deserved R and R for me today. Gotta get the bikes ready for tommorow's ride, but they're in pretty good shape.
Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

Good mawnin', George, Dick, John, Butch, Medic, Chris, Eric, and all of TRT!
Thanks for the coffee, George. Ouch on your list of chores you gave yourself today. That sounds like work!
Dick - The concentration Mauthausen experience for FishGirl will no doubt be a life-changing event for her. She'll be coming home with a treasure-load of things to tell you about. About the berry picking...I think I'll pass

Yeh right. Be wary of such offers, Butch
Last night's Red, White and Boom went on with a hitch. We played and hour and a half of patriotic music, then had to strike the stage mui pronto to so that the main even (Taylor Hicks) could be set up. The band members got free tickets for food, and there were hops related booths around for soothing tired musicians. I'm recouperating today, and tonight we play at the Cowpens National Battlefield for their fireworks display. Tomorrow will be R&R for cath!
Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone.

I think the Mauthausen visit will be one of the most profound experience of the trip for the kids. I can't imagine the thoughts they will bring away from that. Glad the weather held for your performance last night and good luck at Cowpens. Cowpens was a turning point in the Revolution in the Southern colonies.
Vinnie, Mardi Gras sounds like a good time for a Suthern TRT Meet!

Yes, Dick. The battle at Cowpens was indeed crucial in our victory, thanks to the militia men. Probably THE battle the turned the war. That part of American history is a source of pride for the Upstate of SC.
