salifert vs api- kh test

i have an api kh test that reads 7dkh. just bought a salifert kh test and it tested 9dkh. was a bit of confusion with the directions so i tested twice and came up with the same 9dkh. so i tested the api again.... 7dkh.

do i have to go and get a 3rd brand or should i just believe the salifert, because i always hear how salifert is the best. plus i like the saliferts reading better!

Same here. Their test is extremely easy and doesn't leave anything to interpertation of colors on a card. When it changes color, you read the syringe, the end. Very easy and very reliable. I would trust them.

i also have a question on the saliferts test. do u stop when the solution starts to change color, or when it has changed color. seems like theres a few drips inbetween, where its both colors

You will see it try to change, but then when swirled it will go back or part way back, if you are using the thin tip on the end, you should be able to ad tiny drips until it changes and stays there. Thats where it should be measured, but if it really seems like an in betweener, then use the in between number. The difference in between the two isnt enough toi matter anyway
