totally dependant on what your definition of reef safe means. will it bother your corals, absolutely not. will it be difficult to keep any crustacean in the tank, absolutely. will it eat small fish, absolutely. will it eat your snails, doubt it.

pick your definition and stick to it, once you do this, there are all kinds of fish you can keep.

yes and no the snowflake will eat small fish and crustaceans and can knock over coral that is not securely placed on the rocks. i know there is some pepole on here that have them in thier tank. As far as them eating corals you shouldn't have a problem.

Well My idea of reef safe is:

Won't eat my corals
Won't eat my clowns
Won't eat my star fish
Won't eat my gobies

Now what would the thinking be about the snowflake eel in the tank be?

the gobies you might have a problem due to the fact that they r usally only about 1/2 inch to and inch when you get them. the snowflake i had would eat 1/2 goldfish like ti was nothing and it was only 6 inches long
