Saddled Toby

I recently bought one of these for my 29G, since he only gets up to 4" long and are suitable for a smaller tank.

I just wanted to get some input on what others feed theirs, I knew before I got him that they were carnivores and will sometimes eat snails, hermit crabs, shrimp etc. I don't have any shrimp so I won't have to worry about that and I have tons of hermit crabs and snails.

But i would like to keep him feed good so he won't eat on them, I read you can feed the hard shelled stuff like some hard shelled shrimp, i have some freeze dried ones I can try, but any tips will be appreciated...

Thanks in Advance.
