Saddle Valentiti Puffer Sick
My puffer fish has been acting very strange and as if it is about to die the past day or so. It shows no visible signs of sickness (spots, etc.) but it has shown signs of general stress (laying on the bottom, clamped fins). It gets up and swims every now and then, looking almost normal than goes back to the bottom and lays there. It hasn't eaten since yesterday morning.
The water quality is high, we do weekly water changes and as per a test today there are no toxins in the water, the ph is normal and the salinity looks good.
We thought he was on his last leg and so we did a fresh water dip for him, there were some parasites that came off his body. He's been a little bit more active since then but pretty much the same. Thoughts?
Also we've been having algae problems lately. Quite a bit of the green stuff on the live rock, substrate and around corals. Any connection? How can I take care of that?
