Unhappy

Sad day burying my diamond goby.

Well it seems my diamond goby found the one tiny small hole in my tank cover to do his carpet surfing through. I guess I can go back to an uncovered tank as I like it anyways.
I really liked him as he did a great job on my sandbed. Maybe someone can recommend another that does not like to jump so much or another critter that will do the same thing.

Sorry about your D. goby. What tank mates do you have? Maybe one of them was harrassing it? Just something to keep in mind if you get another one.
I didn't realize they were jumpers. Maybe try a yellow watchman or a dusky. If it can get an established burrow in your substrate somewhere, it might retreat to it if it feels threatened rather than escape the tank.

Sorry for your loss! Maybe you'd like a blenny. Their shaped like the goby, but don't jump out of the tank...they do watch also, just not as much, and their color isn't as great,(although recently there have been some pretty ones that I've seen on line) they are fun in the tank. They move about the rock, and stir up the substrate too!
