Question

Rubber Maid Cleaning Techniques - Help

I just bought a new Rubber Maid 32 gallon garbage can today. It will be replacing the one which my wife and I have used for mixing salt water for the past 15 years. My wife originally bought the garbage can and does not remember how she cleaned it. Does anyone have a prefered technique for cleaning the garbage can before I use it for mixing my salt water? I was thinking of taking it into the shower with me and giving it a good scrubbing with a new scrub brush. Boy, is this taking this reef stuff to a new level!

What do you think??

Please reply.

I recently added two to my arsenal of reefkeeping accessories. I rinsed it out with hot water then dumped that, add some more hot water and a generous helping of pickling lime, swooshed it all around with a rag then drain and rinse
Showers fine but hold the soap
