RS 135 skimmer making excesive noise

I have had this skimmer for about 10 weeks and just in the past week I have noticed that it is making some horrible noise. It seems to be vibrations in the pump. I have removed the pump and cleaned it well, also I lifted it while it was running so it was not touching anything in the sump and it still was making the anoying vibration noise.

Has anyone experienced this, would anyone like to offer some advice? I am thinking that the first action should be to replace the impeller....

Update? Check to make sure the shaft is not broken, then check to make sure that the impeller is properly seated. I've had that happen before and it was just an improperly seated impeller.

EuroReef is sending me a new impeller for similar issues. I'd recommend giving them a call (leave a message, they called me back the same afternoon) to see if they have any advice. They were very helpful. www.euro-reef.com
