Room divider tanks

We're setting up our 180 as a room divider and I'd like to see any pics and hear any input or experiences you may have had. Especially aquascaping.

That's got to be the best inwall set-up you can do! One day i'll setup a inwall divider room, can't wait. Someone post some pictures!

This tank was built as a stand alone room divider (not built in-wall) between the front door/foyer and the livingroom area of the original owner's home.

The overflow is built across 1 end of the tank with about 4" of space on either side of it. There are 3 pipes in the overflow (1 drain, 1 return and 1 additional for wiring). The wiring for the canopy lights and fans are fed down through the additional piece of PVC into the bottom cabinet (keeping everything neat and tidy) where they can be plugged into power strips and then there is 1 hold drilled in the wall end of the bottom cabinet for the power strip cords to exit to the wall socket.

That's a nice st up. I dig the peninsula tanks. I plan on an 8x4 peninsula when I'm rich.

Timmy, do you have a wet room space or will everything need to be under the tank? Will it have two viewable sides or three? Ive been working on an idea or rock work that would look killer in that kid of set up. Ill pm you some sketches in a day or two.

Thanks LadyReefNeck, That is a very unique setup. Is it a 120? The wiring running through the tank is a little odd but cool. That tank could be setup as an island. Is it yours now?

As of now my stand isn't part of the wall..yet. The room it is in isn't finished some of the sheetrock is still in mud the ceiling had popcorn that we removed (wife wants it slick) and I'll have to relocate the ceiling fan.
And I don't know if the flooring will end at the stand or go under it.

I don't know yet if the canopy will be fixed to the ceiling or rest on the tank and just look fixed to the ceiling. As of now I'm thinking fixed to the ceiling to give it a more finished look and I can tie all the molding into it.

Motorslave (Robert isn't it?)
It will be viewable from both front and back and one end, so yes 3 sides.
The tank is an older AGA with 2 corner overflows. I removed the one from the end that is out into the room and would like to use those holes as returns on the CL blowing up at the rockwork and make a fake rock cover to put over it to hide the outlets.
I'm planning a fake sandbed and making a good bit of my rockwork.
I was thinking about a taller rock structure at the wall end sloping down to nothing at the room end. And I'm not a huge fan of huge rockwork but one with gaps and shelves and holes for fish to swim and hide.

So Please, I'd love to see any suggestions on the rockwork.

Yes, it's a 120g and our's right now, but probably will be for sale very shortly. It could be set up as an island as long as you had someway to have the power supply hidden somewhere.

I hate to hear you may be selling it. I love 120s

You could run the power up through your floor, as long as your house isn't on a slab.

Sorry Robert, I missed this part of your post.

I do have an area under the house that I am planning on using as a wet room. This area will be about 12-15 feet from where the plumbing will go through the floor at the tank. This house doesn't have a basement but a large crawl/walk space.
and it has a shower and toilet area with a concreet floor that I plan on enclosing and setting up as a wet room.
I'll try to get some pics of this area. I know I have some from when we bought the house.
