rodi units

Hi guys I see in a couple threads early this year a bunch of you guys bought rodi units from http://www.purewaterclub.com/ Whats the final verdict on these ? junk or good for the money ?

They work fine, but you may need to invest some time into resealing the threads with teflon tape. You may also end up needing to buy a couple of fittings in the end. The quality of the units has really gone down since I purchased mine, but along the same lines the cost of other units from suppliers such as airwaterice and bulkreefsupply has also dropped slightly to be more competitive.

i just got a pretty nice looking 100gpd ROdi unit from filters direct store on ebay. i installed it last night and it seems to be doing well. I will test TDS when i get a tester and let you know how it was. I got a great deal on it. I paid $150 for it brand new and the invoice in the box shows the normal price at $249. i'd post some pics but this site will not let me yet.
