RO Experts . . . Question
I'm getting ready to fill up my 125. My RO unit is 16 feet away. I'd like to fill the tank directly by extending the output tube 16'. Will this add significant back pressure negatively affecting the RO unit?

It shouldn't. I have a Kent Maxxima 60 gpd with another 60 gpd piggyback and I have extension tubes running all over the store to top off a half-dozen systems and we have to add a couple more float valves to our FW sumps. I can't speak for your unit but it works fine for the Kent one. We do not use a pressure pump to boost flow, the unit itself is within a couple of feet of the water source but I've got a network of output tubes all over the place, all connected to the main output
Hope this helps,
Jenn

You shouldn't have a problem either. My friend has his tank on the main level and the RO in the basement on the other side of the house. He runs the line up through the ceiling then through the floor to the tank. no problems at all.

I have a 100gpd unit that has a 50 ft run of 1/4" tubing before it gets to its destination. No prob delivering the water.

Go for it! While you are at it, I would recommend that you get a 50' coil of tubing, so that if you ever need to go to another room to fill a future tank, you can just get the roll out of your cupboard, plug it in, and away you go filling anywhere in the house.
You can also plug it into the waste water and water the house plants with it while you make ro water if you get the long tube

That's a great idea, I'll have to give it a try.
