Basically it comes off the coldwater line, eithe by tapping into pipe with a self tapping fitting llike supplied for icemaker or using the supplied fitting that screws onto a standard hodse bib faucet. keep in mind they are temp and pressure sensitive and output may not meet rated output, depending on your water temp, presure and TDS
