I had one for almost two years in one of my frag tanks. He outgrew the tank and is now in one of the local reefers tank. They can become quite large. They like a great deal of flow, like to wander, and need intense light. Mine ended up on the front glass directly in front of the water line into the tank.

I have tried H. Mag twice and failed miserably both times. Finding a healthy one to begin with is very difficult. I don't think I have ever seen one in a LFS that looked truly healthy. I think I'm pretty good at nursing sick anemones back to health, but with H. Mag it's different. Judging from my limited experience and reading about many other's experience, it seems that once these anemones start going down hill (which usually starts somewhere in the shipping process) they don't recover. I haven't given up on my fantasy of owning one of these, but I will not buy another until I can find a healthy one to start with.

I have had mine for almost 2 years. It has not gotten alot bigger,10" round, but it is well fed by my tomato clown and I feed it weekly. It also like to be on the glass at the water line and right under a 250 MH bulb. It moved around alot in the first 3 months, till it found a place it liked.
