Rice on Hammer Coral

I was looking at my tank like always and noticed what looked like small grains of white rice on my hammer, they are on the exoskeleton next to the tissue. Are theese good/bad and if BAD how do I get them out of my tank and off my hammer.

No pics sorry I've been doing some reading and research and I think they are the same snails that eat clams from the inside out. I wish I could find a picture of one to be sure.
