Returned home from weekend get-a-way to find.....
Well.......I have read so many sad stories where someone has lost everything in their tank and now it was my turn.............I came home after a overnight trip to Austin to find everything (well almost everything) dead. I only have a small 10 gal tank but it was my first tank......my starter tank and now everything is gone (well almost everything). I guess based on what I came home to that my BTA got sucked up into the power head. When I got home the water was so cloudy that you couldn't see anything inside. The BTA had basically exploded.....I guess. I had my two false percs and a cleaner shrimp that had perished. But the boxer crab was alive..........just barely. I quickly moved him to the hospital tank along with the Frogspawn (not dead but not good) as well as a few blue legged crabs and a few snails. We will see what happens. I am pretty bummed out. I will start over............who knows...........maybe I will upgrade.

Not much you can do when that happens. I hope you salvage as much as you can.
A bigger tank will give you more water volume and room for error but
'exploding BTA's' would be severe with any size tank.
Good luck with the re-start.

Good News........Just checked the hospital tank and it looks like the Frog Spawn is doing much better. I am totally surprised......and very happy! I am sure we are not "out of the water" yet.....so to speak.........lol............but it is a good sign. Boxer crab is.......as always......hiding in the rock so I am not sure on his status.

That's a horrible thing to happen, but the good news is that your tank is small enough that it won't take much to get it back and running again. Good luck with the remaining corals.
