Well having a backup return pump isn't going to be that important if she's got powerheads running is it? I suppose there are variables here such as heater location etc. I wouldn't run two returns if you have a quality pump.

No, that's not what I mean, I mean if she gets 2 Maxijets she can have one sitting in a box incase of a problem, but I have never had a Maxijet burn up and only heard of it happening once due to a broken impellor.
I got my MJ's at Marinedepot but everyone has them.

Roger that... It never hurts to have a few extra Maxijets laying around. They come in useful for everything, mixing salt, phosban reactors, blasting your anenomes or mushrooms etc.

I also like to use them to blow off live rock before a water change, pumping water for the accual water change and when I had a BB tank blowing lost frags from behind rockwork.
