return home from holidays,mollusk missing!!!

well i just got in about 5 minutes ago, ive only been gone for one day, walk in, look at the tank, my mollusk is wide open and hes gone! Im sure my spray crab, coral banded, or lawnmover consumed him, but why did he die? all my variables were within limits when i left, are they super sensitive to anything i should know about?

Was it something you bought, or a "hitchhiker" on the rock? More often than not hitchhiker mollusks (often called "turkey wings") don't survive long-term. I wouldn't worry too much if this is the case, and if your critters cleaned it up, they did you a service, rather than having the flesh possibly foul the water.

Guess your critters got their "turkey dinner" too

thanks jenn, it was a hitchhiker...they are notorious for not living long? I feel better now. Come to think of it, my spray crab was lounging in his easy chair , pickin' his teeth. What a meal.
