Resource for specific reef zones

Im toying with the idea of setting up my next tank with corals, inverts and fishes found in the reefs of hawaii. I know some of you have set up tanks according to specific reef zones and was wondering what was the best way to find the information to do so.

Also for those who do set their tanks up this way, what information should I be looking for?
