Did that on my old canopy for the 90g Jena. They all run off 120V power and you just splice one in. Find one the same size and then test it first to make sure the air goes the right way.

I think on my old canopy all four fans were from different manufacturers.

you just need to make sure they are the same voltages. some canopy fans run on 120v others have AC/DC adaptors. the fan should say on the label.

Ditto what Geoff said.
There are a lotta fans out here, different CFM (how much air it "pushes") ,rpm, and you have a noise factor to look at also.
Give the fan you are planning to use a look on the label,,and see where it falls ,compared to the one you are replacing, so you know whare it stands compared to what you had b4.

okay thanks. Now I get to go pull fans out of my old computers! The fans are wired into a ac/dc adapter now, I have to go see what kinds I have.

They need to be the same voltage and the CFM have to be as much or more.
