Replacement for RIO 600...any suggestions?

Hello Reefermates!

I am currently running my Cpr Bakpak 2R+ w/ RIO 600 and I've heard bad things about this product. Any suggestions for a replacement with other good brand?

Kindly let me know so I can dump the RIO before it gives me headache. I think 2 1/2 years of service ( Troublefree ) is enough for my RIO 600. Thank's!

Either a Maxijet or a Mag drive would be ideal. I have a Remora Pro that can uses a Mag 3 which has worked out well, and smaller skimmers work great with a Maxijet 1200.

I had a CPR BacPak when i had my 15 gallon tank. I used a MaxiJet 1200 on it. That pump made a huge difference in the quality of the skimmer vs the Rio600 that came on it.

You need to get an adaptor for the mj 1200 to work with the cpr bakpak.

Very strange indeed. I picked up a mj1200 to replace my rio and it didn't fit. Stopped by the CPR forums and the need for an adaptor is the info I found there.

Thank's guys...i will consider buying MaxiJet 1200 and I think my cpr bakpak 2r+ has an adapter, otherwise even the RIO 600 wouldn't fit.
