Question

Repairing Scratched Glass

I just purchased a used tank and after a few days of staring at it, sitting dry, I noticed a couple of scratches on the inside of the glass that I never noticed when it was running.

First of all, is there a way to repair scratches in glass.

And second, I can't help but wonder why I didn't notice them before, but then again I wasn't really looking. I considered the possibility that with a tank full of water, a scratch on the inside might be virtually invisible. Maybe ?

Usually minor scratches on the inside will be unnoticable. You might call a big Pro glass shop and ask for their recommendations if it really bothers you. When contemplating buying a used tank point out scratches and use it as bargaining chip
Really ugly tanks of decent size gotten cheaply make good sumps
