I have used my sump as a refugium since I started the initial setup. I want to convert the fuge to just a sump, because I want to put a bigger skimmer in the sump.
I have a DSB in the fuge as well as the main tank. I have already removed the lights, and the
macro algae. And I have started removing the DSB in the sump slowly.
Today I got a wiff of
hydrogen sulfide.
So how should I remove this DSB? Is everything in the tank doomed? The fish have been ok up until now, as well as the corals as far as I can tell.
I guess I could remove the sump from the system until I get the sand out?
