removing a dsb SUCKS

well after spending the last 4 hrs of my day... i finally have gotten about 99% of my dsb removed.. what do i have to show for it.... a soaking wet floor, i stink like my tank, and i cant see more than 2" into my tank... but once my gsp grows over the bare bottom... ill be happy... so i guess i have a few long months of grumbling to do.... lol

Only four hours? It took me 14.

Stop, prop your feet up, tomorrow's another day. Never try to arrange a tank when you're tired!

Try putting some in your sump for a while. They act like filters!

Take advantage and dunk, drain, swish them good. Get as much detritus out of them as you can.

I think between what loads up the DSB and the stuff that settles in the quiet zones on the rock, is the reason Spanky advocates bare bottome and a lot of current as well as hella skimmer and filter (mechanical) as needed

4 hours, you are good!!

it took me 12 hours from start to fish in. the corals and clams are still in the sump awaiting me to get home for placement.

i will post some pics of it tomorrow after i get a finished pic.
