RemoraC Attachment

Just woke up to find that the pump had deattached from the skimmer. I know there was a thread a while ago w/ same problem. Just curious what remedies there were to prevent this in the future.
Used the black clamp and pliers during installation,,,,
Haven't gotten the pump or skimmer out of tank yet as the pump is not hurting anything... Is the black clamp reusable? Where can I get another or is there something that works better out there??
And,,, if I extended the tube all the way down and placed pump on bottom of tank (20+ inches) how much would this effect the productivity of the skimmer??
Thx,
Justin

Just found the thread... Looks like plastic zip ties might work... Don't have the filter box but may end up having to purchase it. Any other ideas suggestions would be appreciated.

The only problem with mounting the pump lower in the tank is that you are increasing the head pressure on the pump. You may have to upgrade to a bigger pump in order to get the same results. Look and see what pump is used on the Urchin (the in-sump sersion of the Remora). If it's the same model as the one you are currently using then you may be fine.

I hope that helps.

Mine fell off last week while I was away. For a while I had propped it up on a rock, but I just rearranged and clamped both tube clamps down as hard as I could and I don't think it's going anywhere soon.
