refugium and sandbed question.

First, will a NO strip light work over a refugium. I am adding a second refugium to my tank. I have a large stand, and One side of it is empty so hey, what the heck, add another refugium it's going to be about 20 to 30 gal. It will return back into the main sump adn then be pumped back into the display.

Second, what would be some good critters to keep the sandbed stirred up? (I have some algea on the sandbed, and my hermits aren't doing a very good job)

Yes an NO lamp will work on a refugium as you are looking to grow plants and not trying to achieve intense light for corals. I would also suggest using a bulb for a freshwater planted tank as they ony run $20 and are designed for NO use.

Sand stiring critters I will leave to someone else, I do not trust 'cukes in my tanks and I have never found a sand stiring critter I was overly impressed with?
