I wanted to give my impressions of Reefs2Go
.com. Not that impressed!
I ordered 31 snails (8-margarita, 8-turbo, 4-bumble bee, 3-nassarius, and 8- astrea), 1 serpent star fish, 1 blood shrimp, and 1 fighting conch. I paid $85.97 including shipping (good deal).
Here are my issues -
All the snails were tiny. Only two of the margaritas survived after 24hrs. One bubmle bee, and four turbo snail deaths in 24hrs. All my nassarius and astrea survived. A total of 20 snails survived and 11 died. A 30% mortality rate is not good. (LiveAquaria - out of 50 ordered only 5 died.) I acclimated the snails for 2hrs with a drip line (my typical procedure).
The serpant sea star was advertised at 5-7in. I got a 2.5in star with a missing leg.
The fighting conch was advertised at ~1in. I got a 4in monster (I'm assuming full size adult). I'm afraid he is going to die and crash my tank. He hasn't moved in two days (he did burrow in the sand where I placed him). I wanted somethig to grow into my tank, and not be an old man.
The blood shrimp is the only thing I was 100% happy with. He has already molted.
It's hard to compare to Liveaquaria, but they are my standard. Maybe Reefs2go is better in-store, but I would not recommend them for online
