Reefs2Go - not impressed

I wanted to give my impressions of Reefs2Go.com. Not that impressed!

I ordered 31 snails (8-margarita, 8-turbo, 4-bumble bee, 3-nassarius, and 8- astrea), 1 serpent star fish, 1 blood shrimp, and 1 fighting conch. I paid $85.97 including shipping (good deal).

Here are my issues -

All the snails were tiny. Only two of the margaritas survived after 24hrs. One bubmle bee, and four turbo snail deaths in 24hrs. All my nassarius and astrea survived. A total of 20 snails survived and 11 died. A 30% mortality rate is not good. (LiveAquaria - out of 50 ordered only 5 died.) I acclimated the snails for 2hrs with a drip line (my typical procedure).

The serpant sea star was advertised at 5-7in. I got a 2.5in star with a missing leg.

The fighting conch was advertised at ~1in. I got a 4in monster (I'm assuming full size adult). I'm afraid he is going to die and crash my tank. He hasn't moved in two days (he did burrow in the sand where I placed him). I wanted somethig to grow into my tank, and not be an old man.

The blood shrimp is the only thing I was 100% happy with. He has already molted.

It's hard to compare to Liveaquaria, but they are my standard. Maybe Reefs2go is better in-store, but I would not recommend them for online purchases.

i ordered from them and the things that survived the best were the free snail pack i got. The copepods were all swimming and kicking. i did not like the way they shipped them, no scientific way of knowing how many you are getting. maybe to many maybe not enough?? Two brittle stars that lived a day at the most(they disappeared to never be seen again, it has been 4 months) two shrimps one lived a week one is still alive. I acclimated with drip as they recommended. 3 feather dusters, supposed to small, they were and still are freakin huge. i like them tho.

Overall the stars could have been my fault, they are delicate to ph and temp swings. i have never had a shrimp die in my tank until this one. so i am still up in the air with there quality on certain things, but the no refund deal i just read about... i will never give them money again. They send biblical scripture in there packaging and i just dont think it is christian the way they treated that person.

i dunno, stick with live aquaria if you have good experience. I yoost to jump around from place to place, now when i find somewhere good i stay there. My favorite LFS went out of business, i felt it was due to people like me ordering from ebay, amazon and where ever else there is a good deal. And even tho i bought only the cheaper stuff from him and stuff i could not get cheaper anywhere else he always helped me... now he is gone. now even if the price is high, i will buy at the new LFS just to be loyal. I only buy stuff online that he does not carry. I even tried ordering from him some stuff he dont stock but he just forgot my order so..... i gave him a chance more than one chance so i will still order certain things elsewhere but if he has it i will buy from him.

reefcleaners is probably the best site out there for CUC's. look em up and you will find they are #1 in customer service and are pretty cheap.
