How long should you keep metal halide lights on during the day?

I currently have them on 8 hours. I also have PC's and actinic's on for 12 hours. The tank has softie, hard corals, and clams.

my personal opinion, and I say my personel opinion is running the MH's for anywhere from 8 to 10 hours a day if you have your atenics set up for dawn and dusk.
