I liked the reefcon pro. Very easy and the graphs were nice.

I have tryed something else, dont remeber the name though. It was alright. Alot of data points. alot of diff elements. But the graphs suck. I would love to know of a better one the reefcon too. Does the myreef 2.0 software log params?

Tagging along
I've always used excel; spreadsheet & graphs are nice. However, a software suite with the option to enter pics along with param & dosing dates would be really cool.

does this type of thing log it for you? or is it something you have to give inputs but just gives you a better way to keep track of things?

Yeah, I have a reefkeeper lite.....and I have been trying to figure out if theres something that will log monthly for me or something of the sorts. It would be VERY beneficial.

Hmmm, any data programers out there wanna invent somethin? That would be cool if you had all your probes in the tank, and some software would just graph it for you....just sayin

The neptune controller comes with sw and you can download it and give it a test run without need to buy controller... Reefcon pro has potential if it would work.. I couldnt get database to work and it doesn't seem as if its been updated in over 5 years so its clunky on win7
As it is excel spreadsheet would prob do the trick -I'm surprised nobodynhas come up with a excel macro specific to our needs that would create charts etc based on STD spreadsheet

I think MyReef2.0 does log the probe stuff. But not the water params you have to test for.
I would like to see somone post a spreadsheet with all the test data slots in it and have a automatic built in graph at the bottom. That would be easy. If not, i'm sticking to my reefcon.... (I would do the spreadsheet, but i suck at excel)

You could almost do a SQL data warehouse or use something like oracle for real time graphs over a span of time BUT it would probably involve a ridiculous amount of time for the initial design and coding. In addition the up keep would probably be not worth it. IMO keeping it simple with some like excel is the way to go unless you want to make a full time job out of it or you are dealing with mass amounts of data, you can even do graphs in excel if you wanted to get visual. Just my 2cents.
